Andrea del Pozzo

Andrea del Pozzo (1575-1639) was an Italian painter and architect of the Baroque era. He worked primarily in Rome, creating grandiose frescoes and decorative arts for churches and palaces. Del Pozzo's style blended Renaissance elegance with dramatic Baroque flair, characterized by intense coloration, dynamic composition, and ornate detail. He is best known for his frescoes in the Gesù Church, particularly the "Glorification of St. Ignatius" (1608-1614).
