Antonio Saura

Antonio Saura (1939-1998) was a Spanish abstract and surrealist painter. He is known for his expressive, figurative works that blend elements of cubism, expressionism, and primitivism. Saura's art often features distorted, elongated human figures and animals, as well as fragmented forms and vibrant colors. His style evolved from abstracted representations of human faces to more symbolic, dreamlike compositions. He was a prominent figure in the Spanish avant-garde movement.
